The hunter-gatherers of the Upper Paleolithic were keen observers with a vast knowledge of the natural resources around them, resources they used to fashion hunting weapons like javelins and spearheads. The spear-thrower was a technical innovation that significantly improved our ancestors’ hunting skills in the times of Altamira.
