Temporary Exhibitions

In addition to bringing renewed public to the Museum, temporary exhibitions provide an interesting setting for experimentation that gives a healthy flexibility to an institution like a museum that is at times rigid.

The National Sculpture Museum will conceive its temporary exhibition as resonances, declinations or counterpoints of the Museum´s collections. Temporary exhibitions must originate from risk and commitment, while also aiming to expand knowledge by seeking new ways to tell art history, by offering other critical perspectives, or by examining other unexplored topics.

They will feed upon the Museum´s own collection in order to delve into its nature and identity using historical, thematic, contextual and monographic interpretations, collaboration with other national or international museums, and samples of outside production, provided that they are consistent with the Museum´s mission.
