Reading Room of the Museo del Traje Library
CLOSURE OF THE MUSEUMS’ EXHIBITION ROOMS
Owing to the start of the works to improve and adapt the Museo installations, the Library’s reading room will remain closed from March 2nd 2020.
The collections may be consulted in the reading room by requesting a PRIOR APPOINTMENT via email to our address: biblioteca.mt@cultura.gob.es to obtain entrance authorisation.
The application must be sent in writing 48 hours beforehand.
We apologise for the inconvenience this temporary closure may cause, but we trust we’ll be able to attend you again in our usual times very soon.
Access to the collections of the Museo del Traje Library is free to anyone interested in the Museo’s bibliographic collections. These can only be consulted inside the Reading Room and personal loans of the same are not permitted.
General Information
Any person can request information about the Museo’s Library collections, their use and services and consult the collection that forms part of the Reference Section that’s freely accessible in the Reading Room.
User Card
Allows access to all the Library collections and services except those which for security or conservation reasons are subject to restrictions. You can apply for the card in the library Reading Room by filling in a form available at the counter, and it’s valid for two years.
This card is associated with the BIMUS Network of State Museum Libraries, and allows access to any library in the network, taking into account the consultation terms and conditions of each of them, that can be consulted on: BIMUS
