The first time Miguel de Cervantes lived in Valladolid he was only four years old.

With his parents (Rodrigo Cervantes and Leonor de Cortina) and their other children, he lived in a house in what was then called the Acera de Sancti Spiritus(now renamed Paseo de Zorrilla ), near the Monastery of the same name, opposite the Carmelite convent, the Carmen Calzado and far away from the centre of the town on the Pisuerga as it then was.Salto de línea
