Other memorials

Later the memory of the figure and work of Cervantes has continued to be honoured with different plaques placed at various places in the city. These evocative memorials of his stay in Valladolid are to be found on the site of the Hospital de la Resurrección in the Acera de Recoletos, on the walls of the tower of the parish church of San Lorenzo or on the parapet of the bridge called the Puente Mayor.Salto de línea The city also has streets named after the Glass Graduate or Licenciado Vidriera (the name given in 1965 to the continuation of what in 1855 was called c/ Mendizábal, and is now c/ Menéndez y Pelayo), and La Galatea (the name given in 1965 to the continuation of the former c/ del Candil, now de doña Marina de Escobar) and Dulcinea (the access from c/ Miguel Íscar to c/ del Rastro).Salto de línea
