In application of the provisions of Law 40/2015, of October 1, on the Legal Regime of the Public Sector, as well as Law 33/2003, of November 3, on the Assets of Public Administrations, any natural or legal person You can request the use of these and other possible spaces in the center to carry out some type of activity (holding events, recording audiovisuals, etc.).
When requesting the corresponding permit, several elements must be taken into account:
- The power to authorize this type of request corresponds to the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Fine Arts, according to the regulations on the delegation of powers within the Ministry of Culture and Sports (currently, Order CUD/990/2020, of 16 October, on setting limits for the administration of certain credits for expenses and delegation of powers .
- The possible costs derived from the private use of public administration spaces must abide by what is specified in the Order of the Ministry of the Presidency, of January 18, 2000, which establishes the rates for services or activities subject to the rate. for the use of spaces in museums and other cultural institutions of the Ministry of Education and Culture , although these may be adapted according to the considerations in favor of the center that are regulated in article 61 of Law 25/1998, of July 13, modifying the Legal Regime of the State and Local Rates and of Reorganization of the Patrimonial Benefits of Public Character .
- Requests to use the center's spaces must be submitted at least one month in advance of the scheduled date so that they can be processed, assessed and resolved in a timely manner before the date of use of the requested space. In this sense, submitting an application with very little notice may be grounds for denying the authorization.
- Requests to use Archive spaces for more than 30 days cannot be processed in the ordinary way and will require prior consultation with the General Subdirectorate of State Archives.

If it is not possible to submit the application electronically, please contact the archive and request the corresponding form so that you can submit the signed application on paper at the public registry offices of any Public Administration , at the Post Office, or in diplomatic representations and consular offices of Spain abroad, in application of article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.
