International co-operation. Archives
As part of its international co-operation programme for archives, the Ministry of Culture supports, develops and recovers documentary collections throughout Latin America, Equatorial Guinea and the Philippines. It also places special emphasis on professional training for the archivists in these regions.
International archival co-operation is carried out through the development of several programmes:

Archivist Training Courses in Latin America
Part of the ACERCA 2011 Programme of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), this Office of State Archives co-organises different training activities in Latin America.
Census-Guide of Archives of Spain and Latin America
Electronic guide with information on archives, document collections and producers in Spain and Latin America. This project is the result of the co-operation between the archive administrations in Latin America and Spain.

Latin American Archives Association (ALA)
International archivists' institution chiefly devoted to fostering archives in Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries in Latin America.
Meeting of the European Board of National Archivists (EBNA)
Institution for co-operation between archivists in the framework of the European Union (EU), at the forefront of archive standardisation, quality procedures and digital reproduction of documents for online publication.
European Network for Information and Documentation on Latin America (REDIAL)
Its purpose is to be a platform for the meeting of research with the scientific information on Latin America that exists in Europe, and to contribute to the development of communication, mutual support and information exchange. The Archives Office is present in REDIAL through the Archives Document Information Centre (CIDA).
International Council on Archives (ICA)
Affiliate institution of UNESCO which is working worldwide on archives, divided into different branches specialising in geographical and subject areas. EURBICA is the European branch (European Regional Branch of the International Council on Archives).
