Every year the 7th of April, the day of Domenicos Theotocopoulos' death, we celebrate El Greco's day. This year we have numerous activities through social media. Don't miss them!

Through an Instagram Live the Museum will share its screen with institutions like the Museo del Prado, Patrimonio Nacional, Museo Thyssen Bornemisza, Museo de Bellas Artes de Sevilla or the Benaki Museum of Athens among others, all of them showing us their Grecos live.
Afterwards, the live broadcast will be recorded and be available in the IGTV of the Museo del Greco's Instagram.

Following the previous years' #WeLoveGreco, this year we will reflect about the influence and legacy of El Greco's works in Art and Pop culture. In our social media accounts, we will show you curious facts, as well as works inspired by El Greco and their transformation through Pop art, which did not neglect iconic images made by the Cretan master. Like in past years, we invite you to share objetcs, memories, or relfections about our painter with the hashtag #WeLoveGreco.
