Physical accessibility

The building is free of architectural barriers and there are reserved parking spaces, accessible bathrooms and ramps and lifts connecting the different areas of the museum.

Accessibility for the deaf

Altamira Museum offers the following services for people with hearing disabilities:

• Guided tour of the Neocave with a Spanish Sign Language interpreter.Salto de línea These tours, for groups of over 5 people, are held on the second Saturday of every month and are free on presentation of disability identification. Prior booking must be made 15 days in advance through this email reservas.maltamira@cultura.gob.es Salto de línea The tour is led by an Altamira Museum Guide with a Spanish Sign Language Interpreter from the Cantabrian Deaf People`s Federation. • Spanish Sign Language guides subtitled in Spanish, English and French.Salto de línea Loan units at the Information desk and also app available for mobile phones (download here).

• Magnetic loopsSalto de línea Magnetic loops are located at the ticket office, information desk, the audiovisual presentation at the entrance to the Neocave and in the auditorium. Portable audio and voice amplification devices are also available.
