Access from Castilla y León by the A-67 dual carriageway; access from Asturias and the Basque Country by the A-8/E-70 highway (Exit 234 direction Santillana del Mar). The Museum of Altamira is signposted from the dual carriageway, Puente San San Miguel and Santillana del Mar.
The museum has a free, guarded car park on its grounds for cars and coaches. The car park opens at 9:30.
