Social education and action have become an essential part of the services provided by cultural institutions. It has been proven that artistic practices can be a tool of great potential when it comes to working with persons with special needs, and as an element of community integration and development. The MNAD is also working in this area, developing a Social Responsibility Programme to guide and help develop these types of initiatives in the context of museums.

The MNAD regularly schedules guided tours and workshops/tours for groups, designed for a wide range of audiences, focusing on specific groups each time.
