Our temporary exhibition programme offers an alternative to the Museum’s permanent exhibition. Given the special layout of our building and its many limitations, the decision to adopt the “à la carte museum” model was taken, which works like a mosaic of simultaneous options.
[ Objectives ]
[ Experimental exhibitions ]Salto de línea These exhibitions establish an active interpretative link with modern-day reality, analysing the types of contemporary life –values, attitudes and material culture– that have come together to form reality in the past and at present.
[ New lectures on the collection ]Salto de línea We regularly organise thesis exhibitions, generally non-chronological, which take new approaches to the collections, connecting them with current issues and testing new languages and communicative resources.
[ History of design ]Salto de línea Exhibitions dedicated to the most prestigious Spanish designers and to universal design classics.
[ Design and education ]Salto de línea In these exhibitions, we show the results of the formal and informal educational projects we undertake in collaboration with different design schools and universities.
[ Social Responsibility ]Salto de línea The Museum has been taking a new direction with its exhibitions in recent years, with the aim of becoming a museum which belongs to everybody and is for everybody, undertaking projects that involve and give a voice to various different groups within our walls.
