Album González Martí
It is a set of 1358 entries with the initial in the upper right margin and the full name of the entry of interest for Manuel González Martí (1877-1972). Each of the unbound sheets brings together heterogeneous materials: press clippings, positive photographs, drawings, caricatures and a long et cetera.
Volumes with Dutch binding containing heterogeneous documentation produced by Manuel González Martí (1877-1972) throughout his life linked to his restless studies and research. They bring together very diverse documentary typologies; photographic positives, press clippings, original letters, postcards, drawings, sketches, notes. Some are devoted monographically to Valencian artists, such as: Pascual Capuz (1882 -1959), Mariano Benlliure (1862-1947), José Mongrell (1870-1937), Luis García Oliver (1907-1977), José Manaut (1898-1971) ) the Pinazo lineage, Joaquín Sorolla (1863-1923), among others. It also gathers information about cartoonists and graphic humorists, such as: Lorenzo Goñi (1911-1991) or Vicente Ibáñez (1886-1975), among others.
The series of correspondence includes both González Martí's minutes sent to his correspondents and the letters received during his professional practice as director of the National Museum of Ceramics and, in a fragmentary way, letters prior to 1954 are also gathered, which offer us lines of study about his relationships with artists, intellectuals and politicians of the society in which he lived, which chronologically spans almost a century.
Historical newspaper library
Press clippings from before 1972, probably chosen by the museum's founder during his activity as director (1947-1972) and linked to the Palacio del Marqués de Dos Aguas building, have been gathered and encapsulated, the Museum's collections and his own intellectual concerns.
This fund is in the process of arrangement.
