Description of the space
The Great Prayer Hall is the true heart of the building and the nerve centre of the El Tránsito Synagogue or the Samuel ha-Leví Synagogue (Museo Sefardí).
With a height of 55 m and a surface of approximately 900 m2, it is the central point that provides access to all the galleries, as well as to the Museum’s patios.
This space, the one with the biggest dimensions of the whole building, has a unique decoration that dates from the same period as the building itself. The plasterwork and the windows that are found here are works of art in themselves, in keeping with the space that surrounds them.
It is an interior space.
Maximum capacity of 175 people seated.
