Sorolla’s drawings constitute the second largest collection. Many of these are quick still lifes, which he did when something caught his eye, producing modern and agile sketches. Others relate to some of his paintings, and there are many charcoal drawings depicting scenes such as cafés, which he sketched while waiting or relaxing. Of these, the series of drawings capturing everyday moments in the life of the artist's family stand out.
Sorolla’s drawings collection consists of 4,985 pieces. All of these have been photographed, catalogued, assigned inventory numbers from 10001 to 15599, and included in the online catalogue.
