Visiting Safely according to the Covid 19-Protocols

The Sorolla Museum open its doors to all the visitors who want to come and enjoy the art and work of Joaquín Sorolla. Therefore we have adopted all the necessary measures in order to guarantee the safety of each of our visitors as well as of our Museum staff.

To make the visit as enjoyable and as safe as possible, we kindly ask you to follow the instructions of the Museum staff while taking the following measures into account:


  • If you have symptoms (fever, cough, difficulty breathing), please stay home
  • We recommend you book an online ticket in advance. If you buy the ticket at the box office, please pay with a contactless card.


Con esta entrada podrá visitar el Museo Sorolla de martes a viernes de 9:30 a 20:00 y los sábados de 9:30 hasta las 14:00.

Con esta entrada podrás acceder directamente al Museo, sin necesidad de hacer colas en la entrada.

Precio de la entrada: Entrada gratuita hasta el 30 de septiembre 2021 para todos los públicos.

Si tiene derecho a gratuidad, consulte el apartado correspondiente.


Con esta entrada podrá visitar el Museo Sorolla los sábados de 14:00 a 20:00 y los domingos de 10:00 a 15:00.

Este tipo de entrada no está disponible online y solo puede adquirirse directamente en la taquilla del Museo.


Si tiene derecho a entrada gratuita, recuerde que solo podrá adquirirla directamente en la taquilla del Museo, ya que es necesario presentar la acreditación correspondiente.

Debido a esta circunstancia tampoco se realizan ninguna reserva previa por teléfono o correo electrónico.

Estos son los casos de entrada gratuita con acreditación:

  • Amigo de la Fundación Museo Sorolla
  • Menor de 18 años, estudiante entre 18 y 25 años, titular del Carné Joven o equivalente
  • Mayor de 65 años o pensionistas
  • Persona con discapacidad
  • Miembro de familias numerosas
  • Persona en situación legal de desempleo
  • Docente
  • Otras situaciones de gratuidad Nueva ventana
  • The use of masks is mandatory
  • Visit to the museum is allowed for individual visitors or family groups (up to 6 people maximum)
  • Guided tours for individual visitors:
  • Due to these exceptional circumstances, a number of services will remain temporarily closed:
    • The cloakroom will not be available in order to leave bags or any personal belongings. Please do not bring any large or heavy items with you such as pieces of luggage or helmets.
    • Materials designed for the collective use of the Museum, such as audio-guides and information sheets have been removed. Instead, we have enabled other types of resources for the visit, which you can look at here. Individual Visit Nueva ventana


  • In order to guarantee safety measures and to avoid crowds, the museum has removed its capacity to a third. There may be waits at entrance of the Museum and before accessing reduced spaces. Please be patient and follow the staff room instructions at all times.
  • Masks are mandatory throughout the visit.
  • Keep social distancing (keeping one and half meters from others)
  • Avoid touching surfaces and wash your hands frequently. Use the different hand sanitisers available at various points throughout the visit.
  • When coughing or sneezing, please use disposable paper or cover your mouth with your elbow. Avoid touching your face.
  • Use the paper bins in order to throw away tissues and other objects.

  • Sunday and public holidays: 10 am – 3 pm

There is a parking of bikes facing the door of entry to the Museum. The nearest stops of BiciMad are the number 125 post (Fernández de la Hoz nº 29) and 141 post (Paseo de la Castellana nº 43).

Admission rules

We remind visitors,

We remind visitors that due to a lack of space, large items such as heavy luggage, sports equipment, musical instruments, doll prams, scooters etc, are not permitted during visits.
