Open for submissions INDUMENTA 06: January 1st - June 30th, 2022

Indumenta publishes work on: studies and research on the history of clothing; the textile and garment industry; fashion theory and criticism; analysis of manufacturing and consumption processes and systems; and any other subject that makes a relevant contribution to knowledge of textiles, clothing and fashion.

The journal will publish original, unpublished articles in Spanish, English, French, Portuguese and Italian. During the selection and assessment process the articles will not be submitted anywhere else for consideration or publication.

In this new phase, Indumenta will comprise four sections:

In order to maintain the highest quality standards, work submitted to Indumenta will undergo a process of review, assessment and consideration based on the quality and the scientific value of the articles.

Indumenta is an annual, digital publication and all its content is free and open access. Authors do not pay for publication.

Articles

Is the main section of the journal. Work must be the result of unpublished, academic and scientific research, explaining the methodology used and providing appropriate graphic support.

Working papers

Is aimed at professionals from the world of textiles and fashion, who wish to present projects developed in different environments (schools, universities, museums and other cultural institutions), focusing on an interpretive analysis of the process and the results of the experience.

Reviews

Indumenta accepts reviews on cultural events connected with Indumenta: recently published books and journals, exhibitions, training activities (courses, seminars, etc.), documentaries, films, etc.

Is a section that aims to give professionals linked to fashion a voice through interviews examining their careers and their vision of fashion culture.
