A triangular piece with a cut-off corner is attached to a secondary, beige background with three of its four edges serrated. Deep red silk damask, with satin weave and brocade in metallic bullion threads over a silk base, grouped in pairs of two, with a serge weave. The fragment is incomplete, but we do see a pomegranate framed by undulating stems, that could be a grid. The pomegranate design reflects oriental influences reminiscent of the lotus flower.

Typologically, this would appear to be a European design. Given the oriental influence, it could be a Venetian fabric.
