Association of Designers

Thanks to the collaboration agreement between the Ministry for Culture and the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España, members of ACME will donate, annually, at least one significant garment or outfit from each season of the previous year to form part of the collection at the Museo.

Consequently, in spring 2007, various pieces from designers were received by the Museo:

• Francis Montesinos

• Fernando Lemoniez

• Roberto Torretta
• Spastor
• Victorio y Lucchino

These pieces were shown to the public for three months (from May to September) during the final catwalk show of the permanent exhibition at the Museo.

By exhibiting these donations the Museo del Traje aims not only to support Spanish fashion and recognise their latest work, but also to give the visitor a wider vision of the history of the garment and let them know what current fashion has to offer.
