Biography

The life of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra was perilous since his childhood. His family moved from Alcalá de henares, where his was born, to Madrid and then to Valladolid, Sevilla, Córdoba and Madrid again. Salto de línea He signed up for the army and he fought at Lepanto Battleship, where he was hurt in his left arm because of an arquebus shot. Back to Spain, Miguel was taken to Algiers as captive by Berbers. He was jailed for five years.

He travelled along Andalucía as tax collector and supply commissioner and travelled to Rome to work for Cardinal Acquaviva. Short stays in Toledo and Madrid, while he develops his brilliant work as a writer, specially his latest ten years.Salto de línea
