Miguel de Cervantes was in two occasions in Valladolid. The first, when he was a child, the second, in his maturity, attracted for the presence of court in the city (1601-1606).
In Valladolid was writed the prologue and the preliminary poetries of his novel Don Quixote, that went on sale in this city at the end of 1604 or in January of 1605.
It´s also possible that he writed in Valladolid some of his Exemplary Novels, because some well- known places of the city was mentioned for him.
