The library of the Casa de Cervantes, conceived by its founders as the Biblioteca Popular Cervantina or Cervantes Popular Library was inaugurated on 23 April 1916 with a deposit of books from the National Library and a donation of books from the Marquis de la Vega Inclán, making a total stock of some 4.000 books on general subjects. In later years more books have gradually been acquired reaching a current total of some 10.000 volumes.Salto de línea At present the library area is used for cultural and educational events and has two consultation points available for use by researchers.Salto de línea The Museum Libraries Combined Catalogue (BIMUS) has been equipped with a search tool which you can use to consult some of these materials in digital format online.
